Foreign and Albanian companies interested in the Kuçova’s Base investment

The investment for the modernization of the Kuçova Air Base is slowly taking shape. The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) went down on the terrain with potential contractors to inform them about the project.

Representatives of the NATO Support and Procurement Agency presented the necessary procedures and documentation that must be met by the contracting firms, before applying to carry out the works for the modernization of the Kuçova Base and its return to the NATO Tactical Air Base.

This Conference was attended by representatives of potential contractors from several countries and the working group of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania.

Also, the representatives of the NATO Procurement and Support Agency acquainted the representatives of potential contractors with the deadlines and inspected in the terrain the construction sites where the modernization projects of the Kuçova Air Base will be implemented.

Due to the high turnout and measures against the spread of the pandemic, the meeting took place in two sessions. The meeting was attended by 60 representatives of potential contractors 36 different companies, of which 22 foreign and 14 Albanian.



By the end of January 2021, NSPA will be ready to answer any questions from interested companies. After that, by the end of March, the companies will submit bids, evaluate them and announce the winner.

After signing the contract, it is foreseen that the field works will start in October 2021.
