Niko Peleshi the newly appointed Defence Minister

Mr. Niko Peleshi took office as Defence Minister. His predecessor Mrs. Olta Xhaçka, will serve as Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

The newly appointed Minister was received with an official ceremony by the Honor Guard and the Wind Orchestra of the Armed Forces.

After honoring the Flag Anthem, Ms. Xhaçka thanked her collaborators during the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and praised the reforms made in recent years in the Armed Forces.

While, Minister Peleshi praised the contribution of men and women serving in the Albanian Armed Forces, and invited them to join forces and be inspired by the European future of Albanians, by their own children, in carrying out the mission of a safe Albania, democratic and a worthy member of the EU.

At the ceremony conclusion, Ms. Xhaçka introduced to Minister Peleshi the General Directors of the Ministry of Defense and the Commanders of the Albanian Armed Forces.
