Minister Peleshi hosts the USA Ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim

The outstanding relations between Albanian and USA Defence were once more confirmed in the meeting Niko Peleshi had with the American ambassador in our country, Yuri Kim.

Minister Peleshi and Ambassador Kim talked about consolidating and advancing major mutual projects and strengthening the strategic partnership in the field of Defense and Security.

Selecting Albania to conduct exercise “Defender Europe 2021” where over 6000 American troops as participants of the largest international exercise in Albania, was specified by the Minister Peleshi as an element which shows the US support in consolidating and modernizing our Armed Forces.

Ambassador Kim reconfirmed the importance of the bilateral relations in Defence and expressed her commitment to increase the collaboration before exercise “Defender Europe 2021”, the largest military exercise ever conducted in Albania alongside with the USA Armed Forces and other NATO allies.
