Floods, AF doubles the capacities to assist the residents

The Ministry of Defense and the National Agency of Civil Emergencies are closely monitoring the situation created by the recent rains.
At the request of Shkodra Municipality, Forces of the First Infantry Battalion are available to any transportation and evacuation needed in Obot village of the administrative unit of “Ana e Malit”. Currently, there are some partly floods in Kuç village, while the inflows of Kir and Gjader river have been increased. In the surface of certain lands, the water level goes up to 30 cm.

The Civil Defence Agency is informing that the capacities have been doubled with forces and vehicles to give aid to as many residents from the flooded areas as possible. In “Ana e Malit” unit there have been transported about 75 residents.
At the same time, troops and vehicles of Vau I Deja Battalion are also into the disposition of Lezha Municipality in the areas of accessed water.

All units of AF, especially the Support Command and Land Forces are at full readiness to intervene in any necessary situation.
Ministry of Defence calls on the municipalities to put into disposition all the resources to cope with the situation in the territories since it is their legal obligation.
