Current wildfire situation in Albanian Republic, 21 August 2021

Lezha Region

1. Mirdita Municipality, Fan, Thirrë - The fire heading Xhuxh is under control. Towards Hebe it continues to be active at low intensity and currently, there is no danger to dwellings. It is being monitored by troops and local authorities.

2. Mirdita Municipality Rubik, Old Katund - The fire is at low intensity. AF, local authorities and volunteer are continuing their work to normalize the situation.

3. Mirdita Municipality, Fan, Munellë and Domgjon - Fire is at low intensity and there are just superficial burnings at Munelle Mountain. The fire is being monitored by local authorities.

Shkodra Region

1. Pukë Municipality, Fushë-Kumullise, Qershizë - Fire is still active. AF, local firefighters and employees of the forest service are all engaged on the ground.

2. Fuzhë – Arrëz Municipality, Blerim, Flet – The fire continues at low intensity and its whole perimeter is under control. Local authorities are engaged to keep the fire under control, until its extinguished.

3. Shkodra Municipality, the administrative unit of Gur i Zi, Gur i Zi - The fire is confined and is monitored by local authority forces.

4. Fushë-Arrëz Municipality, Qafë-Mali, Srriqe - The fire is approached near the houses of Armiraj village. The Dutch helicopter is operating by air, while Armed Forces, firefighters of municipality and employees of the local authority, and the forest service unit are working on the ground.

Kukës Region

1. Kukës Municipality, Maja e Rrunës: - Fire of medium intensity continues. The rugged mountainous terrain makes it difficult to intervene by ground, however, the AF, firefighters, and employees of the local authority are working to isolate the flames.

2. Bashkia Kukës, Morin , close to Koritnik mountain, within the Natural Park of Korab – Kortinik defended zone - The fire is under control and is being monitored by the forest service.

Elbasan Region

1. Elbasan Municipality, the fire in Mamel, Gracen, above Qafë - Krrabë tunnel is extinguished.

Dibra Region

1. Dibra Municipality, Selishtë, Qafë - Murrë, Kacni - The fire has been isolated and woods and timber are being burned at low intensity in the area. Fires in Kaçni and Qafë - Murrë are being monitored by the employees of the administrative unit of Selishtë.

Vlora Region

1. Himara Region - The fire in the area called “Përroi i Vishnjës” is still active. It has not been progressed, only but timbers and hummus being burned till now. There is rough terrain to the forces to intervene by air.
