Wildfire situation in Albania on 24 august 2021

1. Kukës Region - The wildfire in Maja e Rrunës, Malzi, Kukës. Along with the Dutch helicopter, there are also 30 troops of the Armed Forces in the area. The situation in Maja e Zëzë remains problematic.

2. Shkodra Region - The fire in Flet village, Blerim, Fushë-Arrëz, is under control and isn’t posing any danger.

3. Shkodra Region - The fire in Srriqe village, Qafë - Mali, Fushë-Arrëz Municipality, is being monitored by the local firefighters.

4. Shkodra Region - The fire in the so called place Qershizë - Fushë Kumulli in Tërbun Mountain, Puka, they are working to extinguish the fire.

5. Vlora Region - The wildfire in Çipin Mountain of Mesaplik village, Brataj, Selenicë, is being monitored by the employees of the local administrative unit.

6. Lezha Region - The fire in Kodra village - Thirrë, Fan, Mirdita. Firefighters of the municipality of Mirdita continue their work in certain areas to keep the fire under control. There is no risk to dwellings.

7. Lezha Region - The fire in Domgjon and Munellë, Fan, Mirdita is at low intensity and doesn’t pose any risk of spreading, even in inhabited areas. The hearth is being monitored.

8. Lezha Region - The fire at Katund i Vjetër, Malung, Rubik, Mirditë doesn’t pose any danger to inhabited areas and is being monitored.

9. Dibra Region - The fire in Lundre village, Ulëz, Mat. Yesterday evening the fire spread out due to the wind. Today the Dutch helicopter, municipal firefighters, and employees of the forest service are working on the area. The fire is posing no danger at the moment.

10. Dibra Region - The fire in Kacni village, Selishte, Dibra. The wildfire is still active, while forces of Dibra municipality are monitoring it.

11. Tirana Region - The fire in Mengël village, Helmës, municipality of Kavaja doesn’t pose risk, even so along with 40 troops of the AF, are also engaged firefighters from Kavaja, Rrogozhina, and Tirana.
