Pink October, mammography unit for the women of the AAF, Defence Deputy Minister: Do not hesitate, without women there is no life!

During October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, young ladies and women in uniform will have the opportunity, to perform the examination at the Health Center in the "Skënderbej" Garrison, where a mobile mammography unit is located.

The Deputy Minister of Defense, Dallëndyshe Bici, accompanied by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Manushaqe Shehu, were present at this health centre, where the examinations are still continuing.

Deputy Minister Bici addressed a message to all young ladies and women of the Armed Forces: “My message today does not come as a deputy minister, but above all as a woman and my awareness message goes beyond the women in uniform! This message is for every woman, mother, sister or wife! The only way we can save ourselves is early detection! Do not hesitate at any time to do the check-ups! There is no life without women!”, said Deputy Minister Dallëndyshe Bici.

Mrs. Bici said that this terrible disease has not spared even women in uniform, so the Ministry of Defense, together with the General Staff of the Armed Forces has undertaken this activity, which will continue throughout October and not only.
