Completed the special course, 14 new staff members are certified, 4 from Kosovo

Fourteen troops, including four from Kosovo, completed the XIII Basic Course of Special Forces.
The ceremony organized on this occasion was attended by the Defence Ministers of Albania and Kosovo, Niko Peleshi and Armend Mehaj, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Bajram Begaj, as well as commanders of forces from Albania and Kosovo.
In his speech, the Defence Minister Niko Peleshi expressed his contentment that members of the Kosovo Security Force participated in this course: “We are together for Albania, for Kosovo, for our NATO alliance, we are together for peace, for national security, for collective defense, we are together in all the challenges that await us. We prepare for the worst and wish the best." ,- said Peleshi.
Emphasizing the fact that participation in the Armed Forces is becoming more and more motivating, from the benefits to the increase of the moral prestige of the Armed Forces, Minister Peleshi said: "Albania is an important factor and will remain such in the Western Balkans.” The good news for everyone is that Albanians are oriented in the right direction towards the West. We serve this orientation in all areas of life, especially in the Armed Forces, which are here with dignity alongside our largest NATO political and military Alliance, as well as the US Special Strategic Partner, and you are one of the most important parts of our pride. "You are one of the most precious stones of the AF crown." ,- said Peleshi.
The Defence Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Armend Mehaj, addressing the new effective said: "Passing this challenge is only the beginning of what the homeland requires. As members of the Special Forces, you will be prepared for all the challenges, but even when the challenge is there, you must be prepared to think outside the normal framework and it will make you stand out from the others."
In this ceremony, which coincides with the 1st Anniversary of the Special Operations Regiment foundation, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kosovo awarded the medal “For Outstanding Services” to the commanders of the Special Operations Regiment, Special Forces Battalion, and Commando Battalion, while the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Albania awarded the medal "For Outstanding Services" to some of the effectives of this elite unit.
Participants in the closing ceremony of the XIII Special Forces Basic Course, closely followed some tactical actions from the daily training of Special Operations Regiment effectives such as: close combat, hitting the object with penetration from the ground and air, shooting at mobile targets, sniper shooting, mountaineering actions at the mountaineering tower, etc.
