President Meta receives Defence Minister Niko Peleshi and Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces Major General Bajram Begaj

President of the Republic Ilir Meta met today with Defence Minister Niko Peleshi and the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Bajram Begaj.
In the meeting, they expressed concern with all our NATO partners about the threat of possible Russian aggression against Ukraine, which would be a flagrant violation of international law.
President Meta underlined the importance of the most effective coordination with the Alliance, as well as taking measures to continue the reforms in order to further strengthen our defense capabilities.
In this context, the completion and strengthening of the entire chain of command in the Armed Forces, in accordance with the rank-and-function system, was also valued.
