About 450 food packages sent to villages of Burrel and Peshkopi

About 450 packages mainly of food and detergents were distributed by the National Civil Protection Agency, through the means of transport of the Armed Forces, in the municipalities of Mat and Dibër. The food packages were provided by the State Material Reserves following a request made by the mayors of these municipalities. The packages were sent to help families in need, those with social and health problems, or the elderly who live alone and who have encountered severe difficulties due to severe weather and low temperatures.

In the municipality of Mat were transported 150 packages of food and detergents, which according to the plan drafted by the local administrators themselves were distributed in the deepest villages of the administrative units of Derjan, Macukull, Lis, Komsi, Baz, and Ulëz. On the other hand, the vehicles of the transport battalion and the members of the regional support battalion transported 145 packages in the municipality of Dibër, which were distributed to the neediest residents of the villages of the administrative units of Lurë, Selishtë, Zall-Dardhë, Reç, and Kala e Dodës.



The Ministry of Defense and the National Agency for Civil Protection are in constant communication with the municipalities and prefectures, in the territory of which problems are caused by snow and low temperatures and are ready to offer their assistance at any moment.
