"Defender 2021", provide aid to the health center of Shën Gjergj after joint training

Shën Gjergj Health Center is equipped with additional kits and medications, thanks to the project of the joint Albanian-American Civil-Military Cooperation team. This donation comes as an act of appreciation of the situation during the joint exercise "Defender 2021". At the donation ceremony, Deputy Defense Minister Dallëndyshe Bici expressed her gratitude to the American counterpart and the European Command, which funded this donation.
"This is a first aid kit, but further looking at the needs of this community, I believe that in the future, even with the valuable assistance of the US Embassy, we will have additional support for your community."- she addressed to the locals and employees.On his part, US Deputy Ambassador Demian Smith said that this aid is a sign of gratitude to the residents of the area and Albania, that worked alongside the US for the success of the exercise “Defender '21”.
"Your support during the joint ‘Defender 21’ exercise was crucial to our joint success. This historic event showed the world once again that Albania is an incomparable ally in its hospitality and friendship. Our joint work is not over as they celebrate 100 years of friendship. "Defender '21" was just the beginning of a long road ahead. Albania has once again offered to the next military training, to show over to the world that there is no stronger friendship." ,- said Deputy Ambassador Smith.
Deputy Minister of Health Mira Rakacolli, present at the ceremony thanked the US for its contribution even during the pandemic, emphasizing that health always needs more.
The donated health equipment and medicines will also serve to the villages around Shën Gjergj area.
