NATO has launched a project for member countries against disinformation and hostile information activities. In a press release, NATO announces that it will provide grants for new ideas in the field of information enabling Alliance countries to be more resilient to disinformation and hostile information activities.
While providing more information about this initiative, Defence Minister Niko Peleshi said that: "Disinformation and hostile information activities have become a disturbing phenomenon hence NATO is determined to respond to these challenges. The Alliance's latest initiative is also an extraordinary opportunity for Albanian non-profit organizations (NPOs), universities, and any other civil society organization. NATO's Public Diplomacy Division is providing financial support for projects to develop innovative ways of countering disinformation and hostile information activities in our societies."
Therefore, Defence Minister Peleshi calls on every NPO, university or civil society organization in Albania who can offer new ideas and innovative projects to apply until May 10, 2022.
