Ministry of Defense issues 4 million $ to municipalities for natural disasters

The Ministry of Defense through the Committee for Natural Disaster Management has invited all local government units to apply for the program "Fund for Natural Disaster Management". This fund with a total value of 4 million $ can be benefited by all municipalities which must submit their projects for taking preventive and rehabilitation measures against disasters, damaged infrastructure and other activities in the field of Civil Protection.

Priority will be given to projects for the prevention of natural disasters and those with co-financing. Local self-government units have 30 days to submit their projects, which will then be evaluated by the Committee for Natural Disaster Management, which will announce the winning projects.
