Peleshi commemorates Major Klodian Tanushi and Lieutenant Zarife Hasanaj, Martyrs of the Homeland

Three years had passed since Major Klodian Tanushi and Lieutenant Zarife Hasanaj fell on the line of duty, while on a NATO mission in Latvia.

Defense Minister Niko Peleshi commemorates the two Martyrs of the Homeland, saying: "The sublime dedication and sacrifice of Major Klodian Tanushi and Lieutenant Zarife Hasanaj is an example of the difficulties and danger faced by the Albanian militaries during their duties at home and abroad. Three years ago, Major Tanushi and Lieutenant Hasanaj lost their lives in the line of duty in a commitment and a mission, which today, three years later, has proved to be both right and necessary."

Major Klodian Tanushi and Lieutenant Zerife Hasanaj, part of the Albanian contingent within the NATO mission "Enhanced Forward Presence" in Latvia, lost their lives while performing combat duties.
