Fires, Greece and Albania ready to renew the agreement in the field of Civil Emergencies

 



Albania and Greece have agreed to renew the agreement in order to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in the field of Civil Emergencies, time when both countries are facing such issues as fires and at the time that our country is determined to increase and modernize the response capacities.


Following the two-day official visit to Greece, the Defence Minister Niko Peleshi was also received by the Deputy Minister of Civil Defense and Climate Emergencies.

Minister Peleshi thanked the neighboring country for the support in the tragic earthquake of 2019, during the COVID-19 pandemic and for helping to extinguish the fires in our country, not only during the last summer, but also for the help provided through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism in Sazan some days ago.

At the same time, Mr. Peleshi outlined the intentions of the Defence Minister in increasing the capacities in the field of Civil Emergencies and expressed his appreciation for Greece contribution.
