From July 1, salary increase by 30%, Peleshi: Dignifying treatment promise kept

Starting from July 1, all military personnel of the Armed Forces will receive a 30% salary increase. The news was announced at a press conference by Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, after the meeting of the Council of Ministers.
“Today we have made an historical salary increase and I am very proud of it. I am also very grateful that the promise of the Prime Minister has been implemented. All military personnel from the lowest to the highest ranks from July 1, based on the decision of the Council of Ministers, will have a 30% higher salary, which means the minimum wage in the Armed Forces is more than 51000 ALL, added an additional payment of food treatment and other treatments according to difficulties.”, - explained Minister Peleshi.
The personnel of the Cyber Protection Military Structure, a sector that has received recent attention, will also receive an additional increase salary, according to Minister Peleshi.
“We have also approved an annex, a list of about 38 positions or structures within the Armed Forces that will receive additional increase salary. The first on the list that receives the highest addition is the military structure of Cyber Defense. In addition to 30 %, they will receive an additional 20000 ALL because of the importance that this new domain, the cyber protection, has today in Albania and all over the world, especially after 24 February when Russia invaded Ukraine.”, - said Defence Minister.
Mr. Peleshi announced that salaries are also provided for functions or other positions of Commando Troops, Special Forces, doctors serving within the Armed Forces and many more.
According to the Defence Minister, this promise is already a reality that gives dignified treatment and prestige to the Armed Forces and makes way for new personnel.
