Graduation day for 54 new officers of the AAF, minister Peleshi: Dignified financial treatment

29 women and 25 men will become part of the Albanian Armed Forces ranked as Second Lieutenant. They graduated after completing the 1-year Officer Training Course. In the ceremony held on this occasion, Defense Minister Niko Peleshi emphasized the fact that the time we are living has placed the figure of the military more at the center of public opinion than ever before. Minister said that the sacrifice that this profession requires is already rewarded with a better financial treatment from the beginning of the career.

"The promise to increase the salaries of the military by 30% is a reality that you will touch just a few days after this ceremony. The idealism of the military has never had an equivalence with the financial reward and it is hard to find even in the largest and most advanced armies in the world. But, I personally, with the unsparing support of the Prime Minister, felt it as a moral obligation for the AAF to increase their integrity and through dignified financial treatment. A motivation that I believe will feed your passion for the uniform and give it the respect it deserves", - said Minister Peleshi during his speech.
