The situation of fires around the country

Fire situation, August 1, 2022, 11:00 a.m

According to the data from the National Operational Center of Civil Emergencies in CPNA, during the last 24 hours, 22 fires have been reported, of which 20 fires have been extinguished and 2 fires are active.

After an uninterrupted work of the operational forces in the field, it became possible to completely isolate and extinguish the fires in:

•Panaja village, Kropishte village and Delisuf village, Vlorë municipality;

• Rehovo village, Poliçan municipality;
• Poshnje village, Dimal municipality;
• Bogë village and Reç village, Malësi e Madhe municipality;
• Berdicë village, Shkodër municipality;
• In the neighborhood no. 1, Kavaja municipality;
• Fushë - Preze village, Vorë municipality,
• In the villages of Frashtan, Lugar, Grapsh, and Goranxi, Dropull municipality;
• In the neighborhood "Granic", Gjirokastër municipality;
• Veliqot village, Tepelen municipality;
• Rubjekë village, Shijak municipality;
• In the neighborhood ish-SMT, Devoll municipality;
• Kamunah village, Cërrik municipality;
• Seman village and Portëz village, Fier municipality;
• Cukas village, Lushnje municipality;
• Margelliç village, Patos municipality.
During the last 24 hours, 437 firefighters, military members, municipal forces, police forces, employees of the administration of protected areas, forest service, volunteer forces, 44 fire extinguishing equipment, and 1 Cougar helicopter and 2 Greek planes, which worked for the isolation of the fire over the village of Kardhikaq in the Finiq municipality.
Currently, fires are active in:
• Pecë village, Finiq municipality, despite the intervention made by the operational forces yesterday and during the night, it was not possible to extinguish this fire. Today, in the early hours of the morning, the operation started from the ground with the operational forces supported by the air with the Cougar helicopter of the Ministry of Defense.
• Postribë village, Shkodër municipality, this fire has a low intensity and efforts are being made to put it out. We call on citizens to be careful during these hot days, to notify the local fire service of any fire as soon as possible. All the forces of the Civil Defense system are in full readiness, with the necessary capacities for intervention from the ground and from the air.
