Fire situation in the country

Fire situation, August 2, 2022, 11:30 a.m.

According to the data from the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies in CPNA, 21 fires have been reported in the last 24 hours, of which 17 fires have been extinguished and 4 fires are active.
After an uninterrupted work of the operational forces in the field, it became possible to completely isolate and extinguish the fires in:
• Pece village, Finiq municipality;
• In Neighborhood no. 1 of the city of Saranda;
• Rromës village and Drashovicë village, Selenicë municipality;
• Ruzhdie village, Patos municipality;
• Daullas village, Fier municipality;
• Balshaj village, Malësi e Madhe municipality;
• Rrapë village, Puke municipality;
• Gjoricë village, Bulqizë municipality;
• Qerret village and Luz i Vogël village, Kavajë municipality;
• Picar village and Kodër - Vorë district, Vorë municipality.
• Façesh village and Vilëz village, Tirana municipality.
• In the place called "Ura e Dajlani", Durrës municipality.
• Metallë village, Shijak municipality.
During the last 24 hours, 358 firefighters, armed forces, municipal forces, police forces, employees of the administration of protected areas, forest service, volunteer forces, 28 fire engines, as well as 1 Cougar helicopter in the municipality of Finiq, were engaged in the actions to extinguish the flames.

|Currently, the fires are active in:

• Postribë village, Shkodër municipality, where the operation began in the early hours of the morning under the direction of the Shkodër municipality, supported by 60 forces from the AF.
• In the place called " Liqeni i Zi", the municipality of Mat. This fire started at noon yesterday in the "Qafe Shtame" National Park. Yesterday, it was not possible to isolate this fire. In the early hours of the morning, the operation started from the municipality of Mat, supported by the military members and from the air with the Cougar helicopter of the MoD
• Dragobi village, Tropoje municipality, the fire spread on an area with beech forest; the municipality and LPA are working to extinguish it.
• Shetaj village, Durrës municipality, we have the reactivation of the fire that was extinguished days ago. The firefighting forces are working on the ground, supported by 20 military members.

We call on citizens to be careful during these hot days, to notify the local fire services as soon as possible of any fire outbreak.
All the forces of the Civil Protection system are in full readiness, with the necessary capacities for intervention from the ground and from the air.
