The situation of fires around the country, August 9, 2022

According to the data from the National Operational Center of Civil Emergencies in CPNA, 34 fires have been reported in the last 24 hours. From which the fires have been extinguished:

in the village of Pulaj and in the village of Bërdicë e Madhe, Shkodër municipality;
in the village of Panaja, Vlorë Municipality,
in the village of Lezhan, municipality of Selenicë;
in the village of Kusarth, municipality of Elbasan;
in the village of Lubinjë, municipality of Gramsh;
in the village of Çepan, municipality of Skrapar;
in the village Plashnik i Vogël, Berat municipality;
in the village of Gegë, the municipality of Kuçovo;
in the village of Gjysylkane, the municipality of Tirana;
in the villages of Seman and Mbrostar, the municipality of Fier;
in the village of Dhëmblan, the municipality of Tepelenë;
in the village of Levan, the municipality of Memaliaj;
in the village of Dushk, the municipality of Lushnje;
in the villages of Zdrajsh and Kostenjë, Librazhd municipality;
in the villages of Mjedë and Vukaj, Vau Dejës municipality

It is worth emphasizing the commitment of over 100 volunteers who worked to extinguish the fire in the village of Mjedë;
in the villages of Grudë and Gruemire, of the municipality of Malësi e Madhe, where the houses have been kept out of danger;
in the village of Dushkarak in the municipality of Selenicë, for which the forces of the Ministry of Health of Selenicë were engaged yesterday, supported by the fire brigades of the municipality of Patos, Himarë, Vlorë, Albpetrol, as well as it was operated from the air with the Cougar helicopter of the AF, which has made it possible to avoid the danger of houses;
in the village of Shënepremte of the municipality of Divjakë, where the fire brigades of the municipalities of Lushnje, Fier, Berat, Rrogozhinë and Roskovec were engaged in support, who made it possible to bring the fire under control in a few hours, avoiding spreading towards other villages.

During the last 24 hours, 1004 operational forces of the Fire Protection and Rescue Service, armed forces, municipal forces, police forces, employees of the administration of protected areas, forest service, volunteer forces and 70 firefighting vehicles and AF's Cougar helicopter were engaged, which operated in Skuraj, Kurbin municipality and in the village of Dushkarak, Selenicë municipality.

Currently, fires are active in:

1. In the Postribë administrative unit, in the villages of Prruemos, Vilzë and Omaraj. Since the early hours of the morning, the forces of the local government, supported by 60 armed forces, have been engaged to bring the fire under control.
2. In the village of Mali i Jushit, in the municipality of Vau Dejës, the hearth continues to be active in the area of bushes and brambles. The fire service and volunteers are engaged.
3. In the village of Lam i Madh, municipality of Mat, work continues to isolate and extinguish the fire by the forces of the local government and the armed forces. During the night, three fire engines were on standby to protect the village of Lam i Madh, two of the AF and one of the Mat municipality. Today, 30 military members have been engaged in support of the municipal forces.
4.Yesterday, in the place called " Liqeni i Zi German ", Mat municipality, a fire was activated in the afternoon. To extinguish it, there have been engaged today forces at the local level and 20 military members.
5. In the village of Bershi, municipality of Klos, there was a fire in a forest area. At the scene today, the forces of the local government were engaged to bring the outbreaks under control.
6. In Shetaj village, Durrës municipality, which is being monitored by the Durrës Ministry of Education.
7. In the village of Mal Bardhë, the municipality of Kurbin, for which local government forces were engaged yesterday, supported by 50 Armed Forces, and was operated from the air with a Cougar helicopter. They managed to keep the houses of the village out of danger. The operation continues with the support of the Armed Forces.
8. In the village of Torovicë of the municipality of Lezhë, a fire has been activated in an area with bushes and pastures. Local government forces have been engaged.
9. In the protected area of the Ballolli forest, Plasnik i Madh village, Poliçan municipality, a fire has been activated. The forces of the local government of the municipality of Poliçan, supported by 40 military members have been engaged. They managed to keep the houses of the village out of danger. The operation continues with the support of the Armed Forces.
8. In the village of Torovicë of the municipality of Lezhë, a fire has been activated in an area with bushes and pastures. Local government forces have been engaged.
9. In the protected area of the Ballolli forest, Plasnik i Madh village, Poliçan municipality, a fire has been activated. The forces of the local government of the municipality of Poliçan, supported by 40 military members, have been engaged.

We call on the citizens to report to the State Police structures any suspected case of arson and to show increased caution in these days with high temperatures in the use of incendiary tools and any other activity related to fires.
