Minister Peleshi stated in Parliament: Military personnel’s salary will be increased again within 2023

Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, stated that it is expected another increase of military personnel’s salary next year. He announced that during his speech at the Plenary Session of the Parliament, where the Project Budget of 2023 is being discussed.

"I have great news for the people I represent, about 7,000 in the military, who are going to get another salary increase through this budget. From July they will receive a 30% higher salary, and in January another 7% will be added on top of the 30%. So it's a 40% increase in salary. If a military man received 50,000 ALL in 2022, after that he will receive 70,000 ALL. It will be applied to the lowest salary up to the highest ones, every salary concerned. It is the vision of the Albanian Government. The Prime Minister has said, and we bear witness that we will increase the salaries of the Armed Forces every year, despite the fact that we find ourselves in the conditions of a resistance budget. Thus, they will increase every year until we surpass the Western Balkan countries. So, salaries should be decent, our Forces should be decent",- Minister Peleshi stated
