Flood situation in Albania

According to the data from the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, the Civil Emergency Forces are working to solve the problems caused by high-intensity rains, especially in Shkodër, Lezhë and Dibër.

The Armed Forces are helping residents to cross the road on Beltojë - Shkodër road axis, at Arch of Berdice where there are difficulties for small vehicles to pass due to floods.

We intervened and normalized the situation in two flooded houses in the village of Kakarriq, in the municipality of Lezhë. In Shkodër, a family was evacuated and help was send at the Plum Mosque. In the Bërdica two families where evacuated. In Klos Municipality, work is underway to unblock the road that connects the village of Ketë and Xibër.

The situation in Old Obot, in the villages of Shirq, Mushan and Dajç, is being monitored.

The entire civil emergency response system is on standby. The Ministry of Defense, the Civil Defense Agency call on all residents in flood-prone areas to be careful with movements, to notify the authorities in case of need.
