Rainfall situation throughout the territory of our country

According to the data received from the Emergency Response Preparedness and Coordination Directorate, in the Civil Protection Agency in cooperation with the prefectures, with the civil emergencies in the municipalities of districts and leaders of the Local Government Units, the rainfall situation today is quiet. Rivers are at their normal quotas, the road axes are passable, while the working groups continue repairing the damage caused on the ground.

The immediate intervention by the responsible structures, such as municipality ones, the road maintenance contractors or OSHEE, have helped in normalizing the situation quickly.
There is withdrawal of water on some surfaces in the municipality of Lezhë, Shkodër, Shijak, Krujë.


In Mirdita's municipality, near Rrëshen town, the forces are working to repair a segment of the road, damaged by the various water flaws of the Zmeja's stream. In the village of Lgjin, Orosh administrative unit, the municipality's caterpillar fadromas are still working to clean the road.

Normal traffic has been restored in Bogë village in the Shkrel administrative unit, where Boga stream flooded.

The timely intervention also normalized the situation caused by the Çullo’s stream water flaw, in Gjirokastër and “Lenxat” neighborhood also, in Lazarat due to Sopot stream water flaws.

Contractors have also worked and normalized the situation on the between Bënçë dhe Lekdush villages in Tepelenë.

According to the data received from the Institute of Geosciences and the Military Meteorological Service, the weather is expected to be cloudy with few intervals of clearing, occasional rain with mostly low intensity in most of the territory. In the northern area and partly in the central area, the rainfall will sometimes be moderate to intense, in the form of storms. At altitudes above 800-900 in the northeast and southeast, snowfall with low to medium intensity.

The Civil Protection Agency, in the Ministry of Defense, is monitoring the situation with priority, in cooperation with the local authorities, in order to coordinate the work for an immediate intervention in case of any problem that could be created by the rainfalls.
