Today was certified the Rapid Response Volunteer Team. The team was trained for several months, and this was concluded from LëvizAlbania. The volunteers of this team were provided with the relevant certificates from NCPA and are considered part of the network of volunteers in cases of natural disasters. In the ceremony held on the occasion, the General Director of the National Civil Defense Agency Mr. Haki Çako emphasized this initiative, describing it as a vision which serves the Civil Defense, but also the creation of a permanent culture for the formation , training and establishment of volunteer networks in Albania.
Mr. Çako said volunteering is an important part, while he described the youngsters of the Rapid Response Team, as partners: "I believe in your mission, trust and responsibilities. You will be promoters to change situations. You have an important mission and in the several-month training with the experts of the National Agency of Civil Protection you have acquired the basics, because for us the focus is Civil Protection." , - said Çako.
Speaking about volunteering, Mr. Çako focused on this process, which he called an investment in the future and added value for Civil Defense, referring to the best European practices.
Albania has already joined the European Civil Protection Mechanism and is working with the entire legal framework to be and act the same as other Civil Protection agencies, where a very important element is volunteerism. Mr. Çako also spoke about the legal aspect, one of the other challenges that the voluntary service has and for which working groups are working, to finalize this structure in detail.
