400 vacant positions in the Armed Forces, following the last year increase by 30%, today the salary of the military will be increased by 7%



The government, upon the proposal of the Defence Minister, has decided to increase the basic salary by 7% according to rank and years of service for active military personnel of the Armed Forces. This marks the biggest increase in the salary of the military, who a year ago received another salary increase regarding all categories in the amount of 30%.
6654 military personnel benefit from this latest decision of the Council of Ministers.

Defence Minister Niko Peleshi has considered this increase in salary for the military as an attempt to enhance the dignity of the Armed Forces, but at the same time it is also an attempt to attract new recruits.
Currently, the Ministry of Defense has launched the recruitment campaign for 400 vacant positions at the AF for active military personnel and sailors. This call is open to all young people aged 18-27 with a 9-year, secondary or higher education. Among the benefits received by all those who choose to become part of the Armed Forces are: guaranteed work in AF and opportunities for a successful career, decent monthly income, as never before for the AF, health service for themselves and their families and opportunities to receive specialized treatment at home and abroad, social insurance and supplementary benefits after the end of the career, opportunities for education and military qualification at home and abroad free of charge, advancement in rank and career, physical training according to NATO standards, as well as engagement in peacekeeping missions in the framework of NATO, UN, EU with significant financial benefits.

Also, every young person who becomes part of the AF is offered training and exercise abroad together with other NATO and US colleagues, facilities for renting an apartment, transfer of spouse, food, payment of transportation as well as loans at interest rates lessened for the first housing of military families.
With the recent increase in salaries, an officer (the first rank for military officers under the title of lieutenant) after completing his studies at the Academy of the Armed Forces receives a salary of over 77,000 ALL excluding the salary allowances for food compensation, special allowances or allowances for military, sports uniform, etc.
