Brigadier General Ferdinand Dimo assumes the position as the new Commander of the Support Command

After leading the Land Forces for a period of 14 months in the position of Deputy Commander, Brigadier General Ferdinant Dimo was assigned today in a new position as the Commander of the Support Command.
Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, who attented the ceremony in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Arben Kingji, said that: "Brigadier General Ferdinand Dimo takes the lead of the Support Command after a long military career, in assignments of all levels and poses an excellent example of the serious, cooperative and respected soldier. For a period of 14 months, Brigadier General Dimo served as the Deputy Commander of the Land Force Command, a task he fulfilled with high professionalism and dedication. This is also thanks to the results and achievements inherited by General Kingji, former Commander of this Force, currently Chief of the General Staff of the AF".



According to Minister Peleshi, thanks to the results achieved under the leadership of Brigadier General Xhebexhia, the new Commander of the Support Command will find it easier to continue to advance this vital and extremely important structure for the Armed Forces.

While highlighting the achievements of the Armed Forces, especially during the last year, the Defence Minister assured that the Government's financial support will continue to be significant, not only in terms of salaries, but also housing, transportation and health care: "The Armed Forces continue to transform and modernize day by day with the most modern weapons, techniques and equipment. Ambitious modernization projects with techniques, apparatus and equipment of the Support Command, will not only enable reaching a higher stage of readiness and operationally, but will also provide a more complete and versatile support for all structures others of the Armed Forces.", - Minister Peleshi emphasized.

The introduction ceremony of Brigadier General Ferdinand Dimo in the position of Commander of the Support Command takes place one day after the presentation in the position of Commander of the Land Force of Brigadier General Ilir Xhebexhia.
