It is concluded the first phase of the course for Albanian Experts on Civil Protection

In the frame of "Creation of the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies of the National Agency of Albanian Civil Protection", Project, financed by the Italian Development Cooperation Agency with an amount of 1.2 million euros, was conducted, a course for Albanian Civil Protection Operators. The course took place in Tirana from June 21 to June 28, 2023, in cooperation and coordination with the Department of Civil Protection of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Italy and with the Civil Protection of Tuscany/Metropolitan City of Florence.

In the training, participated 24 experts from the Operations Room for Civil Defense and Staff from the Municipality of Tirana. The training which was conducted through five theoretical modules and also a practical exercise, which aimed at improving the response of the Albanian Civil Protection after catastrophic events, for the management of different types of emergencies (floods, fires, earthquakes, etc.).

The second part of the course will take place at the Department of Civil Protection of Tuscany/Metropolitan City of Florence in Italy.

Due to the increase of the catastrophic events in the recent years, the program fully complies with an ever-increasing priority of the Albanian government, both at the central and local levels: the civil emergencies.

The courses aim to incorporate, in a structured, sustainable and proactive manner, Italian Civil Defense Knowledge, as an internationally recognized model of excellence.
