Peleshi welcomes the new Minister of Defense of Kosovo: We continue to support the Euro-Atlantic processes

Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, accompanied by the Chief of General Staff, Major General Arben Kingji, hosted today the new Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Ejup Maqedonci.
Minister Peleshi appreciated the fact that Maqedonci had his first visit as Minister of Defence in Tirana. Peleshi expressed his best wishes to Maqedonci for his assignment as the Defence Minister of Kosovo.

Discussions between two ministers were focused on their bilateral cooperation in the field of Security and Defense, as well as the evaluation of opportunities for the intensification of this cooperation in the future. The two ministers also talked about the situation in Western Balkans, regional cooperation, as well the challenges that this region is facing.
Minister Peleshi assured Minister Maqedonci that the Ministry of Defense of Albania will continue its contribution to the promotion of the "Open Door Policy" in all regional and international initiatives, thus helping the membership of Kosovo in particular, but also every country in Western Balkans that aspires to be integrated into the Euro-Atlantic structures.
On his side, Minister Maqedonci expressed his gratitude to Albania's continuous support to the Kosovo issue, while it was agreed on the identification of new areas of cooperation to further intensify the relations between Kosovo and Albania.
