In his address, Defense Minister Niko Peleshi congratulated the men and women of the Light Infantry Group - Battalion, a unit certified by NATO, for their readiness for deployment and operational proficiency within the Alliance. He also commended the dedication and determination of all units involved in the exercise.

"An increasing number of opponents and threats to Western values characterize today's security environment." - Minister Peleshi remarked. "Russia's brutal aggression against Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East have shaken global order and security, emphasizing the need for a joint response from all NATO countries and the development of critical capacities to strengthen national stability."

"We now have a new National Security Strategy, soon to be followed by the Military Strategy and the Long-Term Development Plan of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania." - Mnister Peleshi continued. "This strong strategic foundation propels us to consolidate our operational and tactical capabilities, emphasizing the continuous transformation of our forces and capacities."

According to the Defence Minister, these capacities will soon be tested in the important NATO exercise "Steadfast Defender 2024". He expressed satisfaction that this year's promise for investments in 2% GDP within NATO for Security and Defense is being fulfilled, emphasizing continued financial and social support for military personnel.
