During the High-Level Meeting between the Governments of Albania and Turkey, Defense Minister Niko Peleshi: Gratitude for the support in the modernization of the FA

Defense Minister Niko Peleshi was part of the Albanian government delegation, led by Prime Minister Edi Rama, during their visit to Ankara, Turkey.
During the visit, the Military Framework Agreement was signed between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Turkey, involving the Ministries of Defense of both countries.
Minister Peleshi, speaking at the high-level Cooperation Meeting, hailed the agreement as a testament to the enduring cooperation between the two nations.
In his address, Minister Peleshi expressed gratitude to the Turkish government for their ongoing support in modernizing the Albanian Armed Forces, including the provision of significant equipment such as "Bayraktar" drones, military vehicles, and the training of Albanian military personnel.
Minister Peleshi extended an invitation to Turkish authorities to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Kuçova Air Base on March 4th, 2024.
Additionally, Minister Peleshi announced Albania's intention to increase its presence in international missions, stating that Albanian troops will operate under Turkish command in the ALTHEA mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Emphasizing Albania's commitment to promoting good neighborly relations, political stability, security, and sustainable economic development in the region, Minister Peleshi assured that Albania will work constructively and faithfully toward these goals.
