Minister Peleshi at Ukraine Contact Group meeting: We continue the political and military support

Defence Minister Niko Peleshi attended the 23rd Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in Brussels, organized by U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin.

The participating countries reaffirmed their unwavering political and military support for Ukraine, standing united against Russia's illegal and unjustified aggression. In his remarks, Minister Peleshi reiterated Albania's ongoing political support for Ukraine, emphasizing that material and logistical aid will continue unabated. Additionally, he highlighted that Albanian experts, in collaboration with other allies, are actively participating in training programs for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Minister Peleshi also affirmed Albania's commitment to supporting the NATO-Ukraine Council and fulfilling all associated obligations, in line with other allied nations.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov provided a detailed update on the situation on the ground, expressing gratitude to the allied and friendly nations for their extraordinary support for the Ukrainian people. He underscored the need for continued assistance.
