In the past 24 hours, 11 fire foci were recorded across the country, of which seven have been extinguished while four remain active.
According to data from the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, efforts are ongoing to extinguish the fire in the village of Kakodhiq in the Delvina municipality. This fire, fueled by high temperatures and wind, has spread towards the villages of Derviçan and Goranxi in Lower Dropull. In response, 25 military personnel from the Armed Forces have joined the local government operational structures in fighting the blaze.
Efforts continue to isolate the fire near the lakes of Lura. Today, 50 personnel and employees from Dibër municipality are actively working in the area. Currently, there is no risk to residential areas.
Firefighting forces are also working to extinguish two fires registered in Vau i Dejës, one in the village of Dush and the other in the village of Karmë. Both fires do not pose a risk to dwellings.
We extend our gratitude to the dozens of operational forces, firefighters, military personnel, State Police, Forest Service, Protected Areas staff, and volunteers who are making sacrifices in these high temperatures.
Residents are urged to contact local authorities immediately if they notice any signs of fire to prevent its spread to a wider area.
