In the past 24 hours, 33 out of 39 reported fires have been extinguished.
According to the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, several fires remain active in the following areas: the forested region of Bode in the municipality of Maliq; Skuraj village in the municipality of Kurbin; Kakarriq Mountain in the municipality of Lezha; the village of Gjadër; the village of Zavalinë in the municipality of Elbasan; and Kus village in the municipality of Tirana. Local government structures, supported by central authorities, are working to fully extinguish these fires. Currently, none of the fires pose a risk to residential areas.
Approximately 1,400 operational personnel, along with 75 vehicles and the Cougar helicopter, have participated in recent firefighting efforts. We urge citizens to report any issues promptly to emergency numbers. The National Agency for Civil Protection will continue to monitor the situation and deploy resources at both national and international levels.
