"Bayraktar" drones soon on 24/7 standby for emergencies, Minister Vengu inspects Kuçovë air base

After successfully completing night mission tests, "Bayraktar" drones are set to begin 24/7 monitoring, providing crucial support to local authorities in the fight against fires.
Defense Minister Pirro Vengu, along with Air Force Commander Brigadier General Ferdinant Dimo, visited the Kuçovë air base to inspect the drone unit, which now has a fully trained and qualified staff.
The unit has ramped up its readiness after training pilots for nighttime missions.
For several days, UAV drones have been used in joint operations with other forces to combat fires, enabling more accurate identification of hotspots. The images captured by "Bayraktar" drones will be key in helping municipalities assess the damage caused by the fires.
