The South-Eastern Europe Brigade (SEEBRIG), a regional initiative of the Southeast European Defense Ministers (SEDM), celebrated its 25th anniversary at a ceremony held at the "Boro Menkov" military base in Kumanovo, North Macedonia.
Since August of last year, the South-Eastern Europe Brigade has been led by Albania, under the command of Brigadier General Bilbil Bitri. This marks the second time our country has held the leadership position since the initiative's founding, with the current mandate set to run through 2026.
SEEBRIG continues to demonstrate its value as a crucial mechanism for promoting regional security, fostering trust, and maintaining military cooperation among its member states.
Through active participation in this significant defense initiative among Southeast European nations, Albania has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the spirit of good neighborly relations and cooperation for the peaceful development of the region.
