For a period of almost two weeks, our Armed Forces will participate in the joint coastal naval exercise "Austere Wolf-24" alongside their British counterparts in Pashaliman, as part of the "Corridor VIII Response" initiative.
The exercise is set to continue until October 7, 2024. Simultaneously, the British forces will also deploy NATO's Strategic Reserve Force (SRF) to Albania. These troops will follow the Corridor VIII route, passing through Albania (either Durrës or Vlora) - North Macedonia - Kosovo - and back to Albania.
"Austere Wolf-24," organized by the British side, aims to conduct troop and vessel landings under difficult coastal conditions in collaboration with the host nation. The primary objective is to strengthen interoperability between NATO member states.
Our Armed Forces will contribute to this exercise with patrol vessels and divers from the Naval Force, troops from the Land Force, and helicopter support from the Air Force.
