Minister Vengu meets the Director of the Center for Security and Cooperation: Albania committed to every initiative that contributes to peace and security in the region

 

The Albanian Defence Minister Mr. Pirro Vengu, held a meeting with the Director of the RACVIAC Center for Security Cooperation, Ambassador Constantin-Mihail Grigorie, based in Zagreb, Croatia.

Minister Vengu thanked Ambassador Grigorie for his leadership of RACVIAC, highlighting the center's important role in fostering trust, stability, and cooperation for security and peace in Southeast Europe. He reaffirmed Albania's commitment to fulfilling its obligations within the center and expressed continued support for future initiatives aimed at enhancing regional security dialogue.

The meeting focused on current RACVIAC projects, including non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, developments in artificial intelligence, and ongoing activities in Tirana addressing cyber and hybrid threats in Southeast Europe. Minister Vengu and Ambassador Grigorie also discussed the future of RACVIAC and the necessary support from member states for their Euro-Atlantic integration.

The possibility of Kosovo's membership in RACVIAC was also a key topic of discussion. Ambassador Grigorie expressed gratitude for Albania's contributions to the center, including personnel, financial support, and active involvement in regional initiatives.
