Meeting on strengthening cybersecurity held in Tirana, Deputy Minister Tola affirms Albania's commitment to regional stability

 

Albania hosts event on cybersecurity and hybrid threats in Southeast Europe. In line with Albania's commitments to the “RACVIAC” Security Cooperation Center in Zagreb, an event titled “Strengthening Resilience in Cybersecurity and Against Hybrid Threats in Southeast Europe” was held in Tirana. Organized in collaboration with North Macedonia's “Mihailo Apostolski” Military Academy and the Albanian Ministry of Defense, the event aimed to share national and regional experiences regarding cyber and hybrid threats and the challenges they pose.

Deputy Minister of Defense Dorian Tola praised RACVIAC for fostering cooperation among regional countries, which has enhanced stability and security in Southeast Europe. He reaffirmed Albania’s commitment to regional security through active participation in NATO, EU, and OSCE initiatives, emphasizing the importance of close collaboration with allies to address these threats.

Tola stated: “Albania remains dedicated to the security and stability of the Western Balkans. We will continue to contribute to initiatives that bolster our cyber resilience and national defense.”

He concluded that the event would provide valuable insights and sustainable partnerships for regional countries in addressing contemporary and future challenges.
