Marking the 80th Anniversary of Vlora’s Liberation, Defense Minister Pirro Vengu, alongside Vlora’s Mayor Ermal Dredha held a ceremony to honor the fallen heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of the city and the nation.
Minister Vengu laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Cemetery in Vlora, paying tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for Albania’s independence and freedom.
“The Albanian struggle for freedom reached its peak with the country’s liberation eight decades ago, in key cities like Vlora. On this 80th Anniversary, we remember with pride and deep gratitude those who fought and laid down their lives to defend our homeland. Honoring these martyrs is both a privilege and a solemn duty, as their sacrifice is the foundation of our future and a strong reminder of the responsibility we have to protect this legacy.”- said the Defense Minister.
