The Official Gazette has published the decision to enhance financial treatment for 6,000 Armed Forces personnel

The Council of Ministers has approved and published a decision in Official Gazette No. 175/2024 to increase financial support for Armed Forces personnel. This decision will take effect on January 1, 2025, with funding allocated from the Ministry of Defense’s budget.

This adjustment will benefit approximately 6,000 members of the Armed Forces, including 2,500 who will receive this allowance for the first time. Enhanced financial support will also be extended to critical national units, such as Special Forces, pilots, maintenance engineers and technicians, cyber units, drone operators, and civil emergency forces.

The full decision outlines the specific increases across categories and is documented in Decision No. 619, dated October 10, 2024, which amends Decision No. 420, dated June 26, 2024, concerning the pay and allowances for active-duty Armed Forces members in the Republic of Albania.
Meanwhile, the National Civil Defense Agency (AKMC) has issued a call for project submissions from local government units, with applications due by October 25, 2024.
