Rapid Response in Emergencies: "SAR Response 2024" drill concludes successfully

The "SAR Response 2024" search-and-rescue drill concluded successfully, highlighting the operational capacities and collaboration between various agencies involved in the field. Organized by the National Search and Rescue Center, the exercise simulated different emergency scenarios across diverse terrains, including fires on vessels at sea, mountain rescues, and emergency aircraft landings.

Colonel Fiqiri Hoxha, the exercise director, emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination among the structures operating in search-and-rescue operations. This process not only enhances operational skills but also ensures a quicker and more effective response to emergencies. The drill also played a key role in testing and refining the National Search and Rescue Operational Plan, which will soon be published, ensuring more efficient coordination and faster reactions in the event of any crisis.

This is an important step toward strengthening the country’s capabilities to handle emergencies, ensuring the protection of lives and minimizing potential consequences.
