Four members of the Air Force retire, Minister Vengu: We are committed to increasing support

The Defence Minister Mr. Pirro Vengu, attended the ceremony marking the retirement of four Air Force personnel, including pilots and technicians, who have completed an important chapter in their careers.
During the event, Minister Vengu commended the dedication and sacrifices of Lieutenant Colonel Faslli Spahiu, Lieutenant Colonel Pajtim Golemi, Major Dhori Martiri, and technician Bardhok Marku. These individuals made significant contributions to safeguarding Albania's airspace and national security.

In his speech, Minister Vengu said: “Each of them has played a vital role in the history of the Albanian Air Force. Their dedication to the homeland and national security is a virtue that can be learned and passed down. This responsibility is something we must take seriously when it comes to supporting the human resources within the Armed Forces, especially in the Air Force.”

The Minister also highlighted the government’s and Defence Minister ongoing efforts to improve working conditions and the treatment of Air Force personnel: “The government and Ministry of Defense have been working to enhance the working conditions and treatment of pilots, technicians, and all support staff. Although progress has been made in financial aspects, this is just the beginning. Our government is committed to continuously improving financial compensation, as well as healthcare and social benefits for the Armed Forces, particularly for the Air Force, its flight crew, and maintenance staff.”

The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Air Force, Major General Ferdinant Dimo, officers, non-commissioned officers, civilian personnel from the Air Force, and family members.
