Members of the AAF honored in New Jersey National Guard’s “Best Warrior” competition

Sergeant Joni Mino and Corporal Erkan Zagani of the Albanian Armed Forces have been recognized for their outstanding performance in the “Best Warrior” competition, held last week by the New Jersey National Guard in the United States.

Sergeant Joni Mino was named best marksman on the shooting range and took first place in the nighttime land navigation event, while Corporal Erkan Zagani triumphed in the obstacle course competition.

The demanding contest tested participants’ endurance, physical fitness, and tactical skills, once again highlighting the importance of close cooperation between the Albanian Armed Forces and the New Jersey National Guard under the State Partnership Program.

Joint training exercises and activities continue to strengthen the interaction between the two forces and enhance their readiness to face shared challenges.
