The troops of the Albanian Land Force departed in the early hours of this morning from the Zall-Herr garrison toward the Training Center in Bizë, marking the official start of the joint exercise “Defender Europe '25.”
This international exercise, one of the largest and most complex of the past decade in Europe and Africa, is conducted under the leadership of the United States European Command (EUCOM), in close cooperation with NATO Allied and Partner Countries. Albania, as one of the main host nations, plays a strategic role in ensuring the success of the planned operations and developments.
“Defender Europe '25” aims to enhance interoperability among Allied Armed Forces, strengthen military readiness, and improve the ability to respond rapidly to any potential threat within the Euro-Atlantic area.
The Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania remain committed to providing a successful operational environment and contributing to collective defense, regional stability, and international peace.
