College of Defence and Security marks end of Academic Year

 

A graduation ceremony marking the end of the academic year was held today at the Ministry of Defence, celebrating the successful completion of the General Staff and Command Course and the Senior Officer Course, both organized by the College of Defence and Security.

The ceremony brought together senior defence officials, including Deputy Chief of the General Staff Brigadier General Altin Kurti, faculty members, collaborators, and the graduating officers.

In her keynote address, Deputy Defence Minister Blerina Abrazhda highlighted the value of this academic formation in shaping the future leadership of the Armed Forces.

“Today is a day of pride and dedication, a meaningful moment that crowns your hard work, discipline, and unwavering loyalty to the Homeland.” - she said.

She stressed that the graduates are now part of a capable and inspired leadership, ready to respond to both national and international security challenges.

“You are the strength and the promise of a modern, motivated army—prepared to serve the nation and to stand alongside our allies in global missions.”

The Commander of the College of Defence and Security, Brigadier General Ylli Pulaj, also addressed the graduates, commending their commitment throughout an intensive academic year. He emphasized that the knowledge and experience gained go beyond professional growth, they also contribute to strengthening regional cooperation in the fields of defence and security.

This year, 67 officers completed the program, including members of the Albanian Armed Forces and the Kosovo Security Force.
