Fires update in Albania

In the past 24 hours, 38 fires were reported, of which 31 have been extinguished and 7 remain active.

-Vlora: Fires in Finiq municipality continue in Hardhasov, Bistricë, Dhrovjan, and Krongj villages. Rough terrain and strong winds complicate firefighting efforts. 51 families were evacuated, and operations involve 37 firefighters with 6 vehicles, 20 police officers, 30 municipal and volunteer personnel, 60 troops, 1 helicopter, and support from Croatian Canadair aircraft. Fires also persist in Bolenë village, Himarë municipality.
- Lezhë: In Malaj i Epërm village, Mirditë municipality, the forest fire is under control, with 2 firefighting vehicles and local forces monitoring.
- Dibër: On Allush Mountain near Plani Bardhë village, Klos municipality, the fire is contained and being monitored.
- Berat: In Poliçan municipality, a fire affecting shrubs and olive groves is under control.
- Shkodër: In Zagore village, Malësi e Madhe municipality, firefighting continues in difficult terrain.
Overall, 66 firefighting vehicles and 760 personnel are involved, supported by 183 Armed Forces troops, 3 AF vehicles, 3 helicopters, and 2 Canadair planes from Croatia and Italy.
