38th Anniversary of CESB, Minister Vengu: CESB, 38 Years of mission and loyalty to Albania

The Civil Emergency Support Base (CESB) celebrated today its 38th anniversary with a ceremony attended by the Minister of Defence Pirro Vengu, who praised the contribution of this Armed Forces structure in serving the safety and protection of citizens.

In his opening remarks, Minister Vengu highlighted that for decades, CESB has been at the forefront of responding to natural disasters and emergency situations:
“Today we mark 38 years of mission and loyalty to Albania. 38 years of unconditional readiness, 38 years on the front line facing civil emergencies. You have shown that your mission knows no season. In winter and in summer, day and night, CESB is always there: saving lives, protecting property, and ensuring security.”

Referring to CESB’s ongoing commitment, the minister emphasized that it is a force that does not give up, hesitate, or retreat, while today it carries an additional responsibility: training local civil emergency teams to ensure faster response in every corner of Albania.

You are not only a readiness force, you are also a force multiplier for the entire country. Today, CESB is stronger, better trained, and better equipped than ever. The investments made guarantee that your capabilities will continue to grow every year. But above all, it is your character and discipline that make this base unbreakable.” said Minister Vengu.

The Defence Minister expressed his gratitude to the CESB personnel for their daily contribution to protecting the lives and safety of Albanian citizens.

The event was attended by generals, officers, non-commissioned officers, and CESB staff.
