Minister Vengu at the NATO Cyber Defence Conference: Albania to increase investments for the security of the Alliance

Minister of Defence Pirro Vengu took part in the NATO Cyber Defence Conference 2025, held in Tirana, which brought together generals, commanders, senior Alliance officials, and international experts in the field of Digital Security.

In his address to the participants, Minister Vengu emphasized the strategic importance of Cyber Defence at a time when the digital domain has become one of the most critical dimensions of collective security. He highlighted the need to enhance capabilities, deepen cooperation among member states, and ensure advanced coordination in facing new cyber challenges.

“Albania has made significant progress in this direction through the establishment of the Cyber Command, the strengthening of national capacities, and the increase of interoperability with NATO structures.” - said Minister Vengu, underscoring that Albania will continue to invest and strengthen its role in this vital field for both national and Alliance security.

The NATO Cyber Defence Conference 2025 was held for the first time in Albania under the auspices of the National Authority for Cyber Security, serving as a strategic platform for the exchange of expertise among Allies and the advancement of joint policies in protecting the digital domain.
