The Armed Forces Academy firmly denies all recent allegations concerning payments made to the President of the Republic of Albania and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, H.E. Bajram Begaj.

As part of his previous professional background as a military doctor, President Begaj was a member of military scientific research teams, working alongside an academic staff of 15 professors. Between 2013 and 2018, he was involved in supervising doctoral-level scientific research projects at the Armed Forces Academy.
Clarification on Payments
With regard to the payments referenced by some media, the Armed Forces Academy clarifies that: for the academic staff involved in research and supervision activities during the period 2013–2018, the Academy, in full compliance with applicable legislation and the sublegal acts governing higher education and scientific research in the Republic of Albania, settled the outstanding financial obligations between 2022 and 2024.
This process was carried out equally, transparently, and with complete financial and administrative documentation, which can be verified at any time by the competent authorities.
The Armed Forces Academy remains fully open to any verification by the relevant institutions and invites the media to exercise its mission based on verified facts, avoiding the misinforming of public opinion.
