Minister Vengu inspects Bizë/Pajet training complex: A strategic investment for enhanced Armed Forces readiness

Defence Minister Pirro Vengu inspected the Bizë/Pajet Training Complex, a strategic investment aimed at modernizing and strengthening the training capabilities of the Armed Forces, as well as supporting the conduct of international exercises in line with contemporary NATO standards.

During the inspection, Minister Vengu was briefed on the infrastructure and operational capacities of the complex, which represents a new modernization hub for troop operational preparation and for enhancing interoperability with international partners.

The Bizë/Pajet Training Complex has accommodation capacity for up to 1,200 personnel and provides full lodging and dining facilities, modern infrastructure, and other essential services, ensuring comprehensive logistical and operational support for the conduct of extended and complex training activities.

Minister Vengu emphasized that this investment is a key element in increasing the readiness of the Armed Forces and in strengthening cooperation with allies and strategic partners, positioning Albania as an active and reliable contributor within the regional and international security architecture.

The training complex will be fully operational for the Armed Forces’ major exercise scheduled for September, which will include the NATO certification of the Light Infantry Battalion Group, as well as for bilateral and multinational exercises such as “Defender Europe 2027.”
